PMATL…What The Hell? Pt 191: Galtres Festival – Sun 24th Aug 2014
Our 3rd and last festival appearance of the summer would see a return to Galtres Festival for the first time since 2011. But back then our attendance was as punters not artists. Artists. Yes I just called us artists. Although we enjoyed the real ale real music vibe in 2011, our overwhelming memory was mud. So wellied up to the nines we set off to Galtres Festival at its change of site at Duncombe House not really knowing what to expect.
Well, what a treat we were to have! Not a patch of mud in sight, which of course the good weather helped with, and we got chance to play a 40 minutes set in the Artsbar tent, and beyond that we were free to take in the rest of what Galtres Fest had to offer. A little bit of beer, a little bit of acoustic at the Black Howl Tent, some proper distorted guitar riffs on the Rock Stage and some cracking tunage on the Main Stage (my personal highlight was Public Service Broadcasting).
All these extra benefits just for displaying our wares, which we’d happily do anyway. I could get used to being a Rock Star. Rock Star. Yes I just compared us to rock stars.
Speaking of us trying to be rock stars – have you watched our brand new feature film Transatlantic Smash yet? This is where fictional versions of us try and make it global style. Why not treat yourself to a viewing this weekend by clicking on our little cheeky faces below…
